Community Hope

Community Hope helps individuals and their families overcome mental illness, addiction, homelessness and poverty by providing housing and support services.

24 hour/7-day a week helpline coordinated by Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care. The helpline features peer counseling for Veterans, members of the Air/Army National Guard, and family members. Another component is providing this population access to a support network of mental health professionals.

Vet Center Call Center

An around the clock confidential call center where combat Veterans and their families can call to talk about their military experience or any other issue they are facing in their readjustment to civilian life. The staff is comprised of combat Veterans from several eras as well as families members of combat Veterans. This benefit is prepaid through the Veteran’s military service.
