MiY : Kinetic Art Sculptures
August 21 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Using recycled materials, participants of this workshop will learn about kinetic energy and design a wind sculpture (aka “wind spinner” or “whirligig”) that puts science at the heart of each creation. Led by Doug Baldwin, President and co-founder of NJ Makers Day, the basic tools and resources to accomplish such a “left brain-right brain” project will be provided. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring additional objects for their upcycled design (i.e. old jewelry, buttons, plastic, CDs, toys, gadgets, etc.), however the only requirement is their creativity!
Note: This program is supported by the Middlesex County Office of Arts and History
